A Bermuda Hurricane

Tropical Storm/Hurricane Leslie slowly churned her way across the Atlantic towards Bermuda last week. From Tuesday 4th September the surge on South Shore was building, though the skies stayed sunny. The scenes were picturesque! On Wednesday and Thursday she continued to head along a course with Bermuda as its bullseye. I’d had my fingers crossed my flight back to the UK on Saturday night would be delayed, but the tropical storm also slowed and eventually brushed by Bermuda on Sunday 9th September, dumping just a bit of rain and a bit of wind. It wasn’t my luck as I was on the last flight out of the island before the airport closed, and to add insult to injury, my flight had to leave earlier than scheduled too!
